Cuba ha vivido hoy una jornada de terror. Terror oficial, terror desde el poder, terror dirigido a los ciudadanos, a la prensa acreditada, al cuerpo diplomático, a la Iglesia y a todo el que pretenda reconocer y respetar la diversidad de ideas y el derecho a expresarlas pacíficamente.
Miles de cubanos han sido amenazados en los últimos días, las amenazas llegan de un gobierno que ha fusilado a miles y encarcelado a decenas de miles en su más de 60 años de poder totalitario.
Las amenazas hoy se han cumplido y toda la furia represiva se ha desatado contra todo aquel que quiere expresar sus ideas.
En medio de esta realidad el mundo no puede continuar ignorando el carácter segregacionista y represivo del régimen cubano, al que hasta hoy trata como si fuese un gobierno legítimamente constituido.
El Movimiento Cristiano Liberación ( M.C.L) recuerda a la comunidad internacional que si en su relación con el pueblo de Cuba, continúa tomando como referencia a una tiranía, esta relación seguirá secuestrada por el grupo de poder y nunca será un estímulo a la democratización y respeto al legítimo derecho a la libertad de los cubanos, sino todo lo contrario.
El Movimiento Cristiano Liberación nuevamente llama al aislamiento del régimen cubano aplicando medidas económicas, políticas y diplomáticas y estimule el envío de ayuda humanitaria directamente al pueblo, conforme a las 11 medidas propuestas por M.C.L en la campaña «Por la solidaridad con la libertad de los cubanos», hasta que sean liberados todos los presos políticos y se celebren elecciones libres, en un ambiente de respeto a la pluralidad de opiniones políticas.

Statement by Liberation Christian Movement
The reference has to be the people
Cuba has lived a day of terror today. Official terror, terror from power, terror aimed at citizens, at the accredited press, at the diplomatic corps, at the Church and at anyone who tries to recognize and respect the diversity of ideas and the right to peacefully express them.
Thousands of Cubans have been threatened during the last days. The threats come from a government that has killed thousands by firing squad and incarcerated tens of thousands in its over 60 years of totalitarian power.
The threats were carried out today and all the repressive fury was unleashed against everyone who wanted to express their ideas.
In the midst of this reality, the world cannot continue to ignore the segregationist and repressive character of the Cuban regime, which until today is being treated as if it were a legitimately constituted government.
The Liberation Christian Movement (MCL) reminds the international community that if in its relationship with the Cuban people, it continues to take a tyranny as the reference, this relationship will continue to be hijacked by the power group and will never be a stimulus to democratization and respect for the legitimate right to liberty of Cubans, but quite the opposite.
The Liberation Christian Movement once again calls for the isolation of the Cuban regime by applying economic, political and diplomatic measures and encourages sending humanitarian aid directly to the people, in accordance with the 11 measures proposed by MCL in the «For Solidarity with the Freedom of the Cubans» Campaign, until all political prisoners are released and free elections are held, in an atmosphere of respect for the plurality of political opinions.
All Cubans, all brothers, and now, freedom!
